Septemeber 16:
Saw another doctor for a second opinion. She did not bingo me at all and was interested to hear about childree choices. She didn’t have a problem with it and gave me the green light. However, when she talked to my primary, she was told that my primary did not feel comfortable doing it. So I have scheduled an appt with another obgyn who does the essure.
Later that evening, I went online to dump my primary. Bish Boo BYE!
October 3:
Saw the doctor who will be doing the essure. Lather, Rinse, Repeat. He wanted to check me out to see if the coils will fit and looks like it will (DAMN, that hurt!)
We discussed more in his office. I am set up to have essure and if it doesn’t take, will get the tubal. So I signed a bunch of papers courtesy of the Commonwealth of Virginia cause they have a 30 day waiting period.

Essure:is a permanent sterilization procedure for women.
I had my doctor’s appointment to discuss my options of sterilizations. We talked about Essure and Tubal, the pros/cons, risks etc etc. She asked me if this was something I really wanted to do.
She then proceeded to push the IUD on me. She was selling it like it was crack and it was sooo much better for me. If I wanted to do Essure or Tubal, she would have to send me for a second opinion due to my weight (I’m Fat) and I have no babies.
While she was doing my pap, she asked me about my partner (I’m single); what if I meet a guy that wants children(guy is going to have to accept my childfree status or gtfo) and what if I change my mind (NEVER!) She kept constantly pushing the IUD on me and felt obligated to make sure I was making an educated decision.
Researched ob/gyn within my insurance and outside my insurance network that does the producers. Unfortunately, got a phone call from my doctor’s office scheduling me for a second opinion.
Found two Planned Parenthood in two states that does Essure since none of the PP clinic in my area and surrounding does the procedure. Also found a local clinic and send a message to the doctors office asking for information. I just send a message to my insurance provider asking what is the protocol for seeing a doctor who is a member but not covered by my plan.

I have grown tired of men trying to take away women choices.
You don’t own my body.
